Mount a TCS2B Adaptor into your TCS4B machine with a TRE4/2 Reducing Adaptor
The TRE4/2 Reducing Adaptor is required when you need to mount a TCS2B Adaptor with Safety Clutch into a TradeMax Tapping Machine that natively uses a TCS4B Adaptor with Safety Clutch.
Reducing Adaptors are required when customers are going from a larger size TCS Adaptor with Safety Clutch to a smaller size TCS Adaptor with Safety Clutch.
Sometimes customers have found that machines with a larger native tap have required a smaller size Adaptor with Safety Clutch to get the job done. This is when the TRE4/2 reducing adaptor has become a welcomed addition to the workshop.
Example: HMT-50 Hydraulic Tapping Machine (uses a TCS4B Adaptor with Safety Clutch)
- A customer wants to use an ISO M16 tap which is not available for the TCS4B Adaptor with Safety Clutch.
- The ISO M16 tap is made to fit a TCS2B Adaptor with Safety Clutch.
- Therefore the TCS2B Adaptor with Safety Clutch can be used in a machine designed for the TCS4B when coupled with a TRE4/2 Reducing Adaptor.
This expands the range of taps a purchaser can then use in a machine designed for the TCS4B Adaptor.
